Natural Slate Roofing

Natural slate is one of the longest-lasting roofing materials available, but it needs careful handling. Slates can slip when their nails corrode (often called nail sickness), crack under impact, or start to delaminate with age. We replace individual slipped and broken slates, repair valleys, hips and abutments, and carry out full slate re-roofs, reusing sound original slates where possible to keep the character of your home. Clay and Concrete Tiled Roofs

We repair and replace plain tiles, interlocking concrete tiles and clay pantiles. On repairs, we match existing tiles as closely as possible for colour, size and profile so the repair blends in. Ridge, Hip and Verge Work

The ridge, hips and verges are the parts of a pitched roof most exposed to the weather. We re-bed loose ridge and hip tiles in fresh mortar, or upgrade to mechanically fixed dry ridge and dry verge systems. Valleys, Flashings and Roof Windows

Valleys and the joints around chimneys, walls and roof windows are where most leaks begin. We repair and renew lead valleys and flashings (see leadwork and flashing) and fit Velux roof windows into new and existing pitched roofs.
